About Us

We are a friendly church open to people of all ages and backgrounds. We are an evangelical church rooted in the community and here to serve Widnes. We have a range of activities which you are welcome to join. We have Bible based teaching. Our worship is informal and contemporary. There are also many opportunities to meet people and discover the reality of a life transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. On a Sunday we usually have around 25-30 adults and 12-15 children. We have a ramp for disabled access and a disabled toilet. Widnes Baptist Church is easily accessible for families with prams – we have 4 babies under the age of 1! We love having so many young children in our church. We are a group of all ages who seek follow Jesus Christ. In Jesus we find meaning and purpose to our lives, and we seek to serve and care for YOU in his name. Our Aim is to be Christians in a practical way. Together we shall make every effort to fulfil our mission and to serve you by being open, outgoing and welcoming. Comments from visitors to our church are that there is real warmth and that they feel the presence of God as they join with us in worship.
