My testimony:-
At WBC we believe it is important to hear what the Lord is doing in people’s lives so that you have the opportunity to thank Him and also encourage others. Here is someone’s account of when they became a Christian.......
“I can still remember my mum taking me to church when I was very little. When I was five I started going to Sunday school. I believed in God and Jesus, praying every night before I went to bed.
When I was around twelve I attended confirmation classes before being confirmed at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. I turned my back on God shortly afterwards. I lost faith in Christians when someone I knew did something really bad and it made me think that Christians were hypocrites.
I didn’t really think about God or going to church at high school. When I started at college I made a friend called Katie who invited me to a volunteer week at her church. I somehow ended up saying I’d do it. I had a great time – taking part in a Kids’ Club Event, gardening and playing
games. I built good friendships and by the end of the week I didn’t want to say goodbye to my new friends so I started attending a 6.30pm service. As the weeks went by I learnt more about salvation and becoming a Christian. After I had asked Jesus into my life a lot of the anger I felt for people who had been horrible to me in the past was gone. I was a lot happier and started to read the bible.
I love being involved in God’s work and putting Jesus at the centre of my life. I am determined to always be a 24/7 Christian and I loved my believer’s baptism.
